Dear Colleague,
The annual meeting of the Haematology Association of
Ireland will be held in Armagh City Hotel on 17-19th
October 2008. We have invited a number of very distinguished
speakers, and we look forward to a very successful meeting.
Your subscription to the HAI is now due. The subscription
is €110/stg£70 for full membership, trainee
members €40/stg£25 and Nursing €40/stg£25,
and should be forwarded to Sinead Cassidy, 9A Coolkill,
Sandyford, Dublin 18. Any of you who have not updated
your standing order in the last four years, please note
that the membership fees have increased since 2004.
If you need to update your standing order, or start
one, the standing order form is enclosed. All cheques
should be made payable to the Haematology Association
of Ireland. Please also note that your Annual Subscription
also includes your registration fee to attend the Annual
Meeting.
Please note that the closing date for submission of
abstracts is 19th August 2008. The guidelines for abstract
submission are currently being revised and will be circulated
to all members, along with the abstract form, by early
June 2008. These will also be posted on the website
www.haematologyireland.org in due course.
The accommodation in the Armagh City Hotel is limited,
and early booking is advised. The association has also
booked rooms in nearby hotels and B&Bs, and transport
between the centres will be organised for the meeting.

2008 otherwise all unbooked or unallocated rooms will
be released back to the hotel and they will be released
on a first come first served basis.
